Crusted is a traditional style and Fonseca is one of very few houses that continue to produce it. It is a blend of rich, full-bodied ports bottled without fining or filtration.
The port displays attractive bottle maturity. On the nose, powerful aromatics of dark berry fruit, red currants, and a hint of mint. On the palate, layers of complex raspberry and eucalyptus, balanced by tannins and spice. Drinking superbly now but will continue to improve in bottle. Decant before serving.
