Volnay, Côte de Beaune, Côte d’Or, Burgundy, France
High on the slopes of Volnay, just to the south of the village, this vineyard benefits from excellent exposure. The terroir has a high proportion of limestone which accounts for the wines minerality. The 0.47-hectare site is populated with vines averaging 65 years old which produce a beautifully coloured wine with a complex nose and a mid-palate with a lot of minerality. The finish is long with well-structured tannins.
