Veronica considers Mencia to be the Pinot Noir of Spain, and manages to create wines with a delicacy comparable to Burgundy and complexity similar to wines of the Northern Rhone.  Strawberry and Raspberry are prominent, with a bright freshness giving easy drinkability.
