While La Vieux Pin combines both old and new world wine making, it leans more towards a traditional French style.  The Cuvee Classique yearns to bring out the darker side of Syrah, with savory notes of spice and peppercorn, with dark red fruit.  On the palate you may find a touch of black olive and aromatic herbs.  This wine can be enjoyed now, or aged for more complexity.
