Clos de la Roche is known for opulent, lush wines, and Gerard Raphet is a prime example of that.  Additionally, the 2018 vintage proved exceptional, with the grapes nearly bursting at the seams on the vine.  Particularly aromatic, this wine greets you with candied violet, black cherry, and raspberry liqueur, while the palate grants strawberry, baking spice, licorice and minerality.  It is full-bodied and intense, but remains balanced and keeps its Burgundian identity.
