The soil of San Polo's vineyards are stony and rough, perfect for Sangiovese in limiting yield in favor of concentration and quality. This wine is floral on the nose, with aromas of violet, cyclamen and jasmine, as well as fresh fruit and spice. In the mouth it is well balanced, with a good structure and acidity as well as very smooth tannins and excellent persistence.
