Pauillac, Bordeaux, France
Open-knit yet deep and powerful, this striking Bordeaux exhibits notes of blackberry, coffee, cedar, and raisin on the nose, turning to liquorice and fresh flowers. Balanced and juicy, this wine builds on the palate, with currant, liquorice and mineral character. Hints of iron, smoke, and tobacco add lovely shades of nuance, followed by a powerful finish. Full-bodied, with refined, silky tannins and a long finish. An amazing second wine from Château Latour.
